Join the NNAB

Criteria

NNAB is always looking to recruit new participants in our studies. Participants are compensated for each visit and when needed, provided transportation to and from study locations. Some of the benefits of joining the NNAB studies are:

• Knowing that participation is a crucial step in helping to stop HIV
• Compensation for each visit
• Cremation costs are fully covered
• Frequent free visits to specialists

In order to join NNAB all participants must meet certain criteria including:

• You are 18 years or older
• You are HIV positive
• You live within a 120-miles radius of UCLA
• You have a CD4 count at or below 100

Or have any of the following:

• You have a neurological complication of HIV such as brain, spinal cord disease or peripheral neuropathy
• You have an HIV opportunistic infection
• cardiomyopathy or congestive heart failure
• A malignant tumor
• HIV-related kidney disease
